Kudos to this Verbal Judo 5.0 out of 5 stars
A. L. Conway (Seattle, WA)
Understanding what leadership is all about, the authors shed light on what it takes to develop an excellent workforce — it takes non-egotistical, steadfast leaders, people who’ll put themselves in the background to achieve the greater good! I’m hooked and have read this book twice and am implementing it daily in both my professional and personal life! A perfect supplement to the Verbal Judo way!

Words cannot desribe how thankful I am 5.0 out of 5 stars
Mohammad Imran Jafri (Scandanvia)
I reside in Scandinavia and am a taxi driver who drives primarily from 5 p.m. to 6 or 7 am. I meet allllllllll kinds of people. Everywhere from 3 guys who are each twice my size and are very aggressive — to elderly who need to go to the grocery store to buy something. I used to get nervous everytime I saw a dispute coming or once it had unexpectadly started. I would think about little things for days and be crossed with myself for feeling so handicapped almost everytime something happened. A friend lent me this book. I just started reading the book and the author pretty much had me hooked from the first few pages of chapter 1. I felt great!!! I kissed the book, I Thanked God, I was feeling a HUGE relief!!!! One thing which is very important to point out, this book is not about hypnosis or persuading people into getting your way since you are a selfish person. On the contrary, the book urges you to be truthful to people (and believe me, it is part of human nature to be honest, therefore it is very easy). The book is entertaining, easy to read and in my view is the best way of communication.

A Must Read for anyone who deals with “difficult people 5.0 out of 5 stars
Thom Lolley (Dallas, Texas)
I read most of “Doc Rhino’s” book at the airport and on the plane while returning from being trained as a Verbal Judo instructor. This is absolutely the best work on handling “difficult people.” Whether it’s an irate customer, a moody adolescent, or an arrestee with a nasty attitude, Dr. Thompson’s teaching gives you the tools and knowledge to win every time, and look and sound good doing it.

Practical & Highly Memorable 5.0 out of 5 star
With such a unique background, any stories he’d tell would be interesting. However these practical demonstrations are so memorable, I found myself immediately and naturally applying them in my own life. I’ve recently read a number of “communication” books because I’ve been feeling that I could do better in this area. This is the book I’m passing on to my teenage sons. Dr. Thompson’s many examples, coming from all angles of life, are the treasure.

A MUST read 5.0 out of 5 stars
Brian Simpson (Springfield, MO)
Interesting and eye opening reading. This book should be required reading for anyone who deal with people either on a personal or professional level (which is probably all of us unless you’re in a monastery). His techniques offer a new paradigm for dealing with people.

A must for cops, teens, politicians, and all people 5.0 out of 5 stars
Kristin J. Johnson “Three-time published author” (Palm Desert, CA)
Listen to the presidential debates and then send the candidates this book. Then get rid of the pundits and send in George Thompson, Verbal Judo expert, who refines this communication samurai’s sword into a mighty pen. Why should I bother to shove my ego out of the way and empathize with the customers/kids/cops/parents that make my life difficult? Thompson make it clear that difficult people are a way of life. Read this book and you can spare us more arrests, more divorces, more tension, and more campaign gaffes replayed endlessly.

The only self-help book anyone should ever buy! 5.0 out of 5 stars
M. Orme (Orange County CA)
If you are a police officer, salesman, teacher, or anyone who may have to work with people who are not always happy this book MUST be in your library. Actually it should be read annually – so you can review it’s principals of how to work with people that may not want to do what you want them to do. I teach science to 175 fifteen and sixteen year old students. Daily a few of them act like teenagers will (OH MY GOD!). This book has made my ability to keep a good relationship with my students much easier.
